November weather in Northwest Ohio has been very cooperative, and the three-car garage addition is moving along right on schedule. Rough framing is nearing completion and sealing the building envelope from the elements has begun. We are using a product called VaproShield for this critical step.. specifically their Self-Adhered weather barrier membrane. This sheet membrane is water resistant and vapor permeable, and the self-adhering backer seals tightly to the substrate and resists tearing from fastener penetrations. In other words, this premium product will provide a superb weather barrier during construction, and an excellent air barrier when all is said and done… and it looks pretty cool too!
